Alex is an award-winning composer and pianist. His music has been broadcast several times on BBC Radio 3 and performed widely across the UK, as well as in Holland, Italy, Germany, France, China and the United States. Alex read Music at St John's College, Cambridge, graduating in 2016 with a triple First; he is now studying for a Masters in Composition at the Royal Academy of Music. In 2012 Alex was BBC Young Composer of the Year, and his fanfare opened the 2012 International Olympic Committee session. Alex is currently a member of the London Symphony Orchestra's Panufnik Composers Scheme, writing music for the LSO to be premiered in 2018. Alex is Musical Director at Cambridge Musical Theatre Company, and has previously taught at Stagecoach and the Young Actors Company. Recent MD credits include Into The Woods, West Side Story, Rent and Les Misérables.
